Looking down the line…
Evoking moments of days gone by the National Park railway station sits just outside the entrance of Mt Field National Park, in Tasmania’s Derwent Valley.
At present, the Derwent Valley Railway is under restoration with plans to restart tourist rail services between New Norfolk and some of the best local destinations including the popular Salmon Ponds at Plenty. The long term plan is to commence again with the service right through to Mt Field National Park, which will be a wonderful way to arrive to this lovely part of the Derwent Valley.
