How about a quick taste test of Apple Schnapps at Redlands Estate?
Situated in Plenty, approximately 40 minutes drive from Hobart, Redlands Estate is fascinating.
The estate is steeped in history, and was originally a land grant to George Frederick Read, the outcast son of King George IV, and one of the first people to set up trade links between Australia and China. Convicts built all of the buildings with over 500,000 bricks used.
Today, visitors are able to enjoy the gorgeous estate gardens, tour the distillery or cook their own loaf of sourdough bread.
Without a doubt Redlands Estate is a must for anyone visiting this part of Tasmania!
